Adorable...of course...I'm biased

Little Miss Sunshine! Delaney is such a smiley baby now! I love it! I was having her model the korker bows I made. This one I thought was too big for her head so I made a smaller one, but I just loved how HUGE her smile was.

This korker bow is much more proportionate to her head. Yep, she's adorable. :)

Good morning to the cutest bug!!!

This is how I found Delaney this morning. How on EARTH she got one leg out of her blanket and swaddle I'll never know. It sure was cute to see that bare, chubby little leg kicking about though. It makes me excited for summer and bare, chubby legs and piggies all the time. Love it!

Delaney is 6 months old!

Delaney had her 6 month check up on Wednesday. Here are her stats:

Head circumference: 17.25" 75-90%

Length: 27" 75-90%

Weight: 16.5 lbs 50-75%

Still no teeth (I rejoice in this as I would rather not breastfeed a shark). She has started some serious separation anxiety. If I'm not visible in the room, she gets pretty upset. Sometimes even if I'm visible but not holding her, she gets upset. If Lance is holding her and she's crying, as soon as he passes her off to me, she stops. Crazy little girl. I don't remember Luke ever being so attached to momma as Laneybug is. I secretly enjoy it, but it is frustrating at times. It makes it very difficult to get the simplest tasks done.

She sure is a cute little bug and quick to give you a smile! She absolutely ADORES Lucas and thinks he is sooo funny. He is getting much better with her as well and I can foresee a brief period of cooperation between the two...until she is big enough to start getting into his stuff, that is. :)

A milestone in the Satterthwaite household

Luke used the potty today!!! This past weekend we bought him some Cars underwear and so I decided today we would start our potty training adventure. First thing this morning after he woke up I took him in and sat him on the potty. He sat there for quite some time with nothing happening so I let him get down. I knew he would need to pee and need to pee A LOT. I didn't put a diaper on him in hopes he would feel the sensation of needing to pee and be able to tell me. Well, he felt the sensation alright, but it happened so fast he ended up peeing on the floor before I could even get to him. Boy, did he need to pee! LOL! I couldn't really be mad, after all, I was the one who didn't diaper him. After I got everything cleaned up with my little carpet cleaner, I took him in and sat him on the potty. Once again, he sat there for quite some time, but this time we just stayed there until........he pooped! Happy day! I started to do a little happy dance and he got down from the toilet and started playing his air guitar. It was AWESOME! As the day progressed, he had three more pee accidents outside the toilet, but he peed and pooped again in the potty! This is just the first day so I feel pretty good about that!
Wish me luck as I embark into some seriously unknown territory called "Potty Training!" Here's hoping he's trained before his 3rd birthday...I'll hold my breath. :)

I had to chuckle...

I had to chuckle at myself today when picking up the house I had to put not one, not two, not three, not even four, but FIVE pairs of MY shoes away. Lance is always telling me I leave my shoes all over the place. Of course, I don't usually notice all that much as I am the one picking up the house on a regular basis and the thought doesn't even cross my mind. Today though, it was really made manifest! Silly me!

Don't bugga me!

Whenever Luke is bugging Delaney or jumping all over me, I ask him to stop buggin. Today, I was tickling and bugging him when he looked at me and said, "Don't bugga me, mom." I laughed.

Lucas to lady: "No, I'm handsome." *smiles and scampers off*
