A Stroll Down Memory Lane...

I was going through photos and video taken on an old SD card when I came across this super cute video of Luke when he was probably 3 or 4 months old. It took me back and made me realize that they really do grow soooooo fast! I hope it brings as big of a smile to your face as it did to mine! Enjoy! P.S. It's best with sound because his giggle is so cute!

Help!

Lance and I have been having a difficult time getting Luke to bed and asleep at a decent hour. When we first transitioned him to the big bed, he did great. Then for about two weeks it took FOREVER to get him to stay in bed (sometimes 2 hours!) and then he was up and out of bed a million times during the night. We got him on a fairly decent schedule for about a month or so (bath at 8:15, story and milk; then it was lights out). But for the past couple weeks he has not been going to bed until 10:00 sometimes. It's mostly my fault for letting him take too long of a nap during the day. He would sometimes nap for 2-3 hours, but with being pregnant, I REALLY loved having the break and the time to rest myself. Well, now that baby is almost here, I have been trying to get him back into a better pattern so I have been limiting his nap to an hour. I even set my alarm so I don't let him oversleep. I would say no nap at all, but then by 3 or 4pm he crashes and is out wherever his little head may fall. So...at any rate, we are back to the struggle of getting him to stay in bed. UGH!!! What to do? Any advice, suggestions, words of wisdom??? I'll try just about anything! :)

Pregnant With Lucas

Everyone keeps saying they don't remember me looking that fat with Lucas. So I decided to dig out the SD card with pictures of me when I was pregnant with him and post them. I think my face looked pretty swollen with Luke. Is it just me? What do you think?

Prego Update...

The last couple months when my doctor has done measurments of Delaney she has been in the 98-99 percentile for everything and trending to be a HUGE baby (much like Lucas was). Everytime she would say that the baby is going to be so big and she was worried about whether I would be able to deliver or have to have a C-section. I told her Luke was the same way and that he tapered off at the end. Today I had an appoinment and discovered that Delaney is tapering off! YAY! She is currently in the 91st percentile and weighs in at approximately 7lbs 2 oz. It's funny because that's about what they estimated Luke at this time and he didn't vary from it but by a couple ounces. So...whew! Everything is looking good for the 8th of July! I can't believe it's practically here!

I had Lance take a picture of me yesterday so here's what I look like...bigger! :) Although, I must say, I don't look as swollen as I did with Luke. Still a little, but not nearly as bad. So that's good!

Home Grown!

I decided to take some pictures of the produce I have been picking from our garden as proof that stuff has actually grown and is growing. :) My garden last year grew HUGE plants, but didn't produce a lot. Hopefully this year will be a different story. Anyway, everything has tasted delicious so far! I love home grown vegetables! Mmmmm...

Cucumbers and the very first tomato! YUMMY!!! I picked the tomato a litte early and let it ripen on the counter. Last year my biggest problem with tomatoes was that the birds were getting to them before I was. :( Not this year little birdies! :)

Bow Crazy?!?

When Lance and I found out we were having a baby girl, I got online and learned how to make hair bows. Once I figured out how to make them, I lost control of myself. :) I'm really concerned Delaney isn't going to have enough bows. Not really... Does anyone know of a Bow Makers Anonymous I can join? I think I need help. :)

Trouble Sleeping...

This last trimester of pregnancy has really messed up my sleep! I have been having a difficult time falling asleep and of course I wake up several times to visit the bathroom. :) Not to mention it feels so HOT!!! Lately, I have been moving out to the sofa. For some odd reason I fall asleep faster there. Perhaps it is because I don't move there until I have tossed around in bed for about an hour! So, tonight instead of tossing and turning I decided to update my blog! Hurray! :)

I had another doctor's appointment today (I go weekly now). Great, fabulous, most exciting news...the baby is no longer breech! YIPPEE! Let's hope she stays this way...both times she has turned I really felt it and it wasn't very pleasant! She weighs about 5 lbs 14 oz already! My doctor measures her and says, "Whoa, you gotta big baby in there, girl!" Of course, they thought the same thing with Luke, but he tapered off at the end and was just 7 lbs 3 oz so it will be interesting to see (but hopefully so) how Delaney will be. My doctor also got a really cute picture of her foot. She measured it and I think she said it was either 7 or 8 cm long! That's like 3 inches! WHOA! That's a big baby foot!!! Sometimes I think I have thumper in my belly and with feet that size, it's no wonder! LOL...

I am so excited for her to come! It will be interesting to see how Luke handles things. I took him with me to my appointment today and when they were doing the sonogram he was like, "Oh, there's baby sister!" Then while I was making my next three appoinments he went into the finance manager's office, climbed up in a chair and told her all about how he could see baby sister on the TV. It was pretty dang cute! He's growing up so fast! Crazy crazy crazy...

Well, I'm feeling quite tired now as it is midnight...I think I'll try going to sleep again. Wish me luck! :)
