Delaney @ 9 months...

Well, she's nearly 10 months now, but I figured I would go ahead with the whole 9 month stats from her visit with the pediatrician.
Weight: 17 lbs 8 oz 50%
Length: 29 in 95%
Head: 45 cm 75%
I can't believe she grew 2 inches since her 6 month appointment. No wonder all her pants are capris now. :) She now has 5 teeth as well! They are really coming in quickly. Here's a picture of her as of yesterday...

This is her first actual "hair do". I had just bathed her and thought to myself, "I bet I can get a ponytail outta that hair!" Anyway, I just made some adorable petite sized bows that are too small for a headband so I had to at least try for a ponytail. I know I say it all the time and she is my kid but man...she is stinkin' CUTE!!! :o) She really is such a happy baby and quick to smile. She still adores her brother despite his constant bugging. Anyway...that's our girl.

3-year-old conversation

While weeding in the garden around one of our sqash plant mounds, Luke came over to see what was going on. He looked at a plant that had been eaten down to a little stub.

Lucas: "Mom! What happened?!"
Me: "A bug ate our plant!"
Lucas: "He was REALLY hungry!"
Me: "Yes, he REALLY was!"
Lucas: "Maaaaaybe he needs a sandwich."
Me: *chuckling* "Maybe he does."

Recent Happenings...

Here are a few things that have been happening in our neck of the woods.
First, Flat Stanley came to visit all the way from Brigham City, Utah. Thanks Jenny for sending him to hang with us! We had so much fun. Here are a couple pictures of Luke and Stanley helping me make some chocolate chip cookies.

Like father, like son. Lance usually pulls some crazy face whenever his picture is being taken, too! Licking the beater was Stanley's favorite part too. :)

Lance and Luke taming "The Beast" aka our back yard. A neighbor came over the other day and said, "WOW! Your back yard is so green already. Ours is still brown with a few patches of green." I said, "That's probably because your backyard is grass with a few patches of weeds and ours is a bunch of weeds with a few patches of grass." The weeds grow GREAT! :) Our first summer here I killed our grass by accidentally putting the wrong kind of fertilizer on it. So now we just let whatever will grow, be!
The little toy Luke's pushing is his lawnmower...in the house, it's his vacuum. Cute boy!
