HELLO!!

We're still alive!  :)

It's been a while since I have posted anything, but I wanted to assure you we're still alive and well.  We finally closed on our house in Texas and it is officially SOLD!!!  It was quite the roller coaster and and I'm pretty sure I have ulcers now...not really but...WOW!
It's a long story and I won't get into a ton of detail...let's just say, we were supposed to close on the house on January 30th and were finally able to sign papers on February 29th.
In the grand scheme of things 30 extra days seems quite menial for selling a house (total days on market 30, total days "under contract" 81) when some homes are sitting on the market for months to years.
I knew in my heart everything was going to work out the way it was supposed to and in a way that was best for everyone involved, but that didn't keep me from questioning our choices at times.  And boy did I learn a thing about patience and the Lord's timing being perfect.  :)

So where does that leave us now?

Well...we are under contract with a home in Pleasant View, Utah which is in Northern Utah, just west of North Ogden, Utah.  It's a great house that we can't wait to make our home!  It's 2500 sqft, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and 2 living areas.  It has an unfinished basement that is framed for a third living area, bathroom and bedroom.  We look forward to that project down the road. :)  Two of the best things about the house that I am so excited about are:
  • it is on a third of an acre, so LOTS of backyard for the kids to run and be FREE!!!  :)
  • it has a gigantic cold storage room that has been dubbed "the bat cave" (Lucas said he wanted a house with a bat cave...lol)
We are expected to close on Friday, March 9th which is really just around the corner!  YAY!  As soon as we're in, I will post some before and after pictures as the home is a foreclosure and needs a bit of work.   Until then...

I hope all are well and I want all my TEXAS FOLK to know I miss them something terrible!  That means you...yeah...you know who you are.  ;)
